Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of RepoScope (the extension, website, and Insight API). By installing or using RepoScope, you agree to these Terms. Questions: support@reposcope.app.

1. The service

RepoScope provides AI cost intelligence for codebases: token cost and budget analysis, a pattern-based security scanner, compliance posture mapping, repo visualization, and an AI Game Plan. Scans run primarily on your machine. Pro features (Cost, Budget, Compliance, Game Plan) require a paid subscription or an active free trial.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RepoScope for your internal development purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable marketplace rules (VS Code, Cursor, OpenVSX).

3. Plans & limits

• Free — Security and Repo Map, unlimited scans, no credit card.
• 7-day trial — One trial per device; unlocks Pro features (Cost, Budget, Compliance, Game Plan) without payment until expiry.
• Pro / Annual — Paid subscription unlocks Pro features with unlimited scans. Prices are shown at checkout and on reposcope.app.

4. Security scanner disclaimer

The security scanner uses pattern matching and optional third-party tools (e.g. Semgrep). It is best-effort — it may miss vulnerabilities and may produce false positives. It is not a substitute for professional security auditing, penetration testing, or compliance certification. You remain responsible for securing your code and infrastructure.

5. Billing & refunds

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel via the customer billing portal; access continues through the paid period unless otherwise stated. Refund requests: contact support@reposcope.app. We handle refunds in good faith per our support policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not reverse-engineer the service to circumvent licensing, abuse the Insight API, use RepoScope to violate law, or resell access without authorization. We may suspend access for abuse or non-payment.

7. Intellectual property

RepoScope, its branding, and the extension remain our property or our licensors’. Your code stays yours — we claim no ownership of your repositories or scan output.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

RepoScope is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Token estimates and findings are heuristic.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NxGen Tech Solutions is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or API costs arising from use of RepoScope. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. You may stop using RepoScope at any time by uninstalling the extension and canceling billing.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Texas unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
